Tomasz Lisowski (PhD, post-doctoral degreed), professor at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, academic teacher of the Institute of the Polish Philology of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, head of the Department of Anthropological Linguistics, manager of Postgraduate Studies of Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language in the Faculty of the Polish and Classical Philology AMU, in years 2002 - 2005 and from 01.09.2012 - visiting professor in Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Tomasz Lisowski is an author of books: Polszczyzna początku XVI wieku. Problemy normalizacji fonetyki i fleksji [The Polish language at the beginning of the 16th century. Problems with the standardization of phonetics and inflection]. Poznań 1999, Grafia druków polskich z 1521 i 1522 roku. He is a co-author along with Kyong Geunem Oh of translation into Polish of the seventeenth-century Korean novel of Kim Man Jung, under the title: Sen ulotny jak obłok [Dream of Nine Clouds]; the original Korean title: Guunmong.
His researching interests in the field of linguistics focus on problems associated (a) with developing and the standardization of the Polish spelling in Polish sixteenth-century printed books, (b) with transformations of phonetic-phonological and inflectional linguistic forms in the medieval and Renaissance periods of developing of Polish, (c) with semantic changes of Polish lexemes, (d) with the space of the communication in medieval Polish, (e) with Polish as means of the artistic expression of the film, (f) with the linguistic manipulation in contemporary advertising texts, (g) with the lexis of religious texts, especially biblical more former, as well as contemporary translations, (h) with issues of the relation between language and the culture in the ethnolinguistic approach, also in the aspect of the acquisition of Polish as the foreign language.
He is an experienced academic lecturer, giving seminars and lectures (a) in descriptive grammar of contemporary Polish, (b) in Polish dialectology, (c) in grammar of Old Church Slavonic, (d) in historical grammar of Polish, (e) in history of Polish, (f) in knowledge about the historical development of Polish relating to Slavonic languages, (g) in linguistic methodologies and linguistic theories, as well as (h) in the methodology of teaching of Polish as the foreign language.
There are also monographic lectures in his teaching achievements giving to students of Polish studies: Główne tendencje ewolucji polskiego systemu fleksyjnego [Main tendencies of the evolution of the Polish inflectional system], Pismo - klucz do naszej cywilizacji [Writing - a key to our civilization], Pismo - język, kultura [Writing - language, culture].
In years 2002 - 2005 as the professor visiting in Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul conducted a graduate seminar in phraseology and semantics of the contemporary Polish as well as and doctoral seminars (a) in phonetics and phonology of old Polish, (b) in inflection of the noun of contemporary Polish, (c) in pragmalinguistics, (d) in word formation of contemporary Polish, (e) in inflection of the verb of contemporary Polish, (f) in dialectology of Polish, and (g) in contemporary Polish phonology.
Also classes in teaching Polish as the foreign language on all levels comprise his teaching activity both in frames of the Summer School of Polish Culture and Language established by the School of Polish Language and Culture for Foreign Students, AMU in Poznan, and in Polish Department of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul.
